Corlow Rail was founded to confront the challenges arising from degrading and obsolete signalling assets, mixed with resource limitations within the UK rail industry. With a team of seasoned professionals boasting decades of experience, we have harnessed our collective expertise to deliver projects of varying scales. Specialising exclusively on signalling design, our proficient team of IRSE licenced Design Engineers excel in delivering cost-effective, dependable design solutions on time, every time.
Our aim is simple; Corlow Rail Directors are UK tax payers and frequent railway users. We want to play our part in delivering a safer, more efficient railway and we want our clients to get more value for money, with absolutely no compromise on quality.

Managing Director
Matt McDonald

Matt began his journey in to railway Signalling as a Network Rail apprentice in 2005. He spent time with Faulting and Maintenance before moving in to Signalling Design - where he occasionally supported as a Functional Tester. As such, he has gained an excellent holistic view of the industry and the different disciplines within it. He has contributed at a Principles level to major Signalling schemes, and more recently has delivered Signalling enhancement and renewals projects as Design Manager and CRE. Matt is responsible for Engineering Management, tendering, business development and strategy.

Adam Mather

Adam started his Signalling Design career in 2008. He has worked exclusively with tier 1 companies in the UK rail industry, making substantial contributions to the successful delivery of numerous major re-signalling projects. This extensive journey has equipped him with a deep understanding of various signalling systems, technologies and equipment. His comprehensive knowledge encompasses both conventional and digital technologies – including ETCS. Adam is responsible for technical leadership, competence management, regulatory compliance and delivery of engineering projects to meet client requirements, within scope and budget.
